I am the sweetest lapcat you'll ever meet, and can't wait to give you all my love (and take all of yours!) I was left at the shelter with my friend Smokey Cheeks after a long life with our old owner who couldn't keep us where they were going. I'm very confused by all the changes going on around me, but with a little time, I will blossom into your new best friend.
While I may seem a little standoffish at the start, I'm just a little nervous in my new environment. Give me a couple days and some patience (and a nice warm bed) and I'll start to come right out of my shell. You'll quickly graduate from single finger cheek scratches to full on lap cuddles in short order. I especially love to nap on my heated bed when you're gone, and will come running to the door when you get back home. I am very brave though, and want to investigate every nook, cranny, and open closet in the house.
I love to binge watch television while pressed up against you, or keep you company while you work. My foster mom even gave me my own chair to nap on when she works from home. My best job is couch, so you better be ready to snuggle up with me in the evenings. Watch out—if you stop petting me before I'm ready, I'll very politely reach up and tap you to let you know I would like some more pets! Fortunately my silky soft coat is just as nice for you to pet and brush as it is for me, so it's a win-win situation.
While I'm OK with other cats who can respect my space, I would love to be the center of your universe.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
