I rescued Salt from the El Paso Shelter in January 2024. I was told he was surrendered because the owner had to move.
When I got him home, about 2 weeks later, I discovered he has some kind of skin issue. I took him to vet and he was on anitibiotics. Did a 2nd round of antibiotics. Took him to another Vet , who put him on a 3rd round, and was told he has a skin allergy and will always have to have allergy meds and has to be bathed often with a medicated shampoo. His skin is also affecting my husband, causing him rashes because of being allergic to Salt.
He is a very well trained dog, very polite. He gets along well with my male Shitzu. However, I can no longer give keep taking him to the vet and taking care of skin. I don't want him put down, I want him to have a home where he can be taken care off.I only feed him fresh pet dog food.
