Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Gentleman, the ultimate companion dog. A gentle giant with a heart full of love, Gent is a low-energy sweetheart who adores people and thrives on being close to his humans. Whether you're folding laundry or preparing dinner, expect him to be by your side, quietly following you from room to room. If nothing interesting is happening, he'll happily settle down on the nearest soft rug for a nap or to simply chill. Gent is a snuggle champion and loves a good belly rub.
He's crate and potty trained, incredibly smart, and a quick learner, especially when there are treats involved-he even considers ice cubes a treat! Gent enjoys a bit of playtime, especially with his favorite squeaky toys, and loves a game of fetch. He's non-reactive to cats and gets along well with other dogs on walks, making him a breeze to bring along wherever you go. Car rides are a special favorite of his, too!
Gent only uses his voice when he really wants something, like food or to come back inside, so he's not one to bark just for the sake of it. This big, easygoing dog is happiest relaxing by your side, with his head on your lap, but he's always up for a walk or some playtime if you are.
Please consider opening your home as a foster to help us learn more about our pups!
For anyone looking for a lost pet or considering adoption or fostering, we encourage you to make regular visits to the shelter. Please note that this website is updated every 24 hours and may not include all the animals available at CARE STL. If you are interested in a specific dog, such as (name of dog), we invite you to stop by the CARE STL Adoption Center located at 2700 Walnut Pl, 63103. Simply ask for more details about the particular animal you are interested in.
