My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Madi enjoys playing with toys and tunnels and then taking a long cat nap curled on a chair, couch or cat tree. She make biscuits on fluffy blankets. Madi needs a patient family that understand she will be a little shy at first, but once she settles in her true personalities will blossom.

Madi have been raised with other cats and a gentle large dog. She would do well in a home with older children.

If you would like to meet Demi and Madi, please email their foster family directly at  mariward@comcast.net for a fast response.

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
