Miles is the perfect blend of dapper gentleman and fun-loving playmate. He’s a dapper playmate! He’s very intelligent and well mannered – that’s where the gentleman part comes in! He’s great on a leash and already knows how to sit and lay on command. A lot of the time if you tell him to sit he’ll quickly transition into a lay before you even ask him to – he’s that eager to please (or earn a treat!). He typically has a medium energy level, but he can kick it into a higher gear if it’s playtime. He loves toys and will toss them around and play with them all by himself sometimes. Regardless of if he’s in playful or gentleman mode, Miles loves to be around people. He enjoys attention and really loves to be pet. He’s very sweet and friendly.

Miles came into the shelter as a stray alongside Gwen A047662 on 10/4/24.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
