My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

12/14/24 STILL AVAILABLE!

11/25/24 Kiki Dee is the last of her litter! Let’s find her a home for the holidays.

**Black dogs are the last to be adopted. We want her to find a home before she gets older, making it even harder to find her a home**

I have a video of her too, email us for videos!

Estimated birthday is 6/5/24, making her about 5.5 months old, however, her brother went to the vet recently and suspected he was a little younger. So Kiki is roughly 4.5-5.5 months old.

No clue what her breed is, mom was mixed and dad is unknown. Heinz 57 is my guess. I’m guessing medium sized/50ish pounds when full grown.

She is good with other dogs. She was previously fostered on a horse farm with all kinds of other animals (goats, pigs, cats etc) and she was great with everyone. She hasn’t been around kids but she’s a sweetie plus she’s just a baby herself. She is currently fostered with a cat too. She is working on house training.
She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

In the northeast.

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.

More about this rescue

Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporter we use most often Pack Leaders (www.plrdogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
