Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This sweet girl is looking for parents who are patient and understanding. Lucy doesn’t do well at our adoption events. She hides in the corner of her cage and patiently waits for the event to be over so that she can go back to her foster home. She allows people to pet and hold her, heck she even allowed us to trim her nails at the last event, but we can tell that she is very uncomfortable. She gets lots of attention at the events because she is so cute and petite, however, the “perfect” kitty parents have not come along yet.
We don’t think we should bring her to anymore events because of the stress it causes her. Sooo, here we are. Lucy needs a quiet home with no children or dogs. She should also be the only pet in the home. Her parents would need to let her decompress in her time and not “force” anything. We are confident that with a little time, understanding, and lots of love, Lucy will be your best friend.
Lucy is a special needs kitty. She has feline herpes virus (FHV). A little information about FHV: About 97% of cats are exposed to feline herpes virus (FHV) at some point in their lives. Of those cats, around 80% will have a lifelong infection. Most people don’t even know that their cats have the infection unless the cat has a flare-up. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion and watery/crusty eyes. Some cats never flare-up, however, the virus can become active again in some cats, especially during periods of stress. Lysine, or L-lysine (available on Amazon) is often recommended by veterinarians as a way to boost the immune system and lessen FHV symptoms. If the symptoms are caught early enough, Lysine may be all you cat needs to get over a flare-up.
If you feel like you can give Lucy the perfect home, AND you are the patient type, please email bobbie@meoowzresq.org and let’s talk about this. We would love it if Lucy could find her perfect home.

More about this rescue
We are a kitten rescue. We take in bottle babies, orphan kittens under the age of 8 weeks, pregnant and nursing mama cats. We get these kitties from private parties who have found them ----from shelters where they are in danger of being put down and from people who can no longer care for their pets. We put them in fosters homes and care for them until good homes can be found.
