My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Charlie and I'm about 2 1/2 years old. I'm a big beautiful grey cat. My original adopter passed away recently and I was returned to Bond County Humane Society to find a new loving home. I was being cared for in a foster home for a few months, but now I am in the shelter. My foster dad said I am affectionate and mellow after I get to know you, but also enjoy my own time to enjoy my surroundings. I am a bit anxious with higher energy animals, but I have lived with another cat for most of my life. I enjoy chasing the string, and batting my big beautiful eyes at my people. I am available for immediate adoption. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $65.00. Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires the completion and approval of an adopter's profile form. This form can be obtained in person or on-line at our web site, www.bondcohs.petfinder.com. It can be completed and e-mailed to the address provided for review. We have a standard adoption agreement. Dog adoption fees vary depending on breed, and age of dog. They generally range from $125 to $250. Cat adoption fees are $90 for kittens (under 1 year of age), $55 for adult cats that have been housed at the shelter for 1 year or less. Adoption fees for cats that have been housed at the shelter for multiple years are by donation.

We conduct off-site adoptions on Saturdays at the following locations:

PETCO - Fairview Heights, IL
Every Saturday, 11-3 (except holiday weekends)

Shelter hours are 1-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Sunday is ONLY by appointment.
