Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Forest is a half Border Collie / Black Lab mix, and he is the smartest dog I've ever known. I got him through a customer one day; I fix A/C's, and he was scheduled for the pound when I said I'd take him in. His backstory is that he was owned by an elderly woman since he was a puppy. She couldn't take him with her when she requested nursing home care, so she dropped Forest off on her daughter, who was my client. The reason she couldn't keep him was due to her other two elderly dogs; forest simply had too much energy for their little old hearts. That doesn't mean Forest is bad with dogs. I've never heard him growl or be unfriendly towards my mother's dog. No resource aggression. No biting. He will chase feral/outdoor cats, but has never acted ill towards my housecat.
The reason I can't keep him is unfortunately the same as the elderly woman... I'm moving to a place that won't allow him to stay. We're still looking for his forever home.
