My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sharknado, a sweet, friendly, playful, and energetic adult dog who has a heart as vast as the ocean. Her spirit is as captivating as a whirlwind, pulling everyone into her world of fun and games. Despite her large name, Sharknado is a gentle soul, always ready to lend a paw to her fellow shelter mates. She loves to play fetch, chase her tail, and give the best doggy cuddles. Her energy is infectious, brightening up even the gloomiest days. Sharknado`s enthusiastic personality is sure to bring joy and laughter into any home. She`s ready to share her love with a family who will cherish her as much as she will them. If you`re looking for a loyal friend and a playful companion, Sharknado is the dog for you.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
