Ash is a 4-month-old long-haired kitten with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. Currently being fostered in Belmont, Ash was rescued from a colony of cats where his father tragically died from poisoning. When he was found, Ash was very sick with a respiratory infection, but after weeks of antibiotics, he’s now healthy, playful, and full of life. With his gorgeous long gray fur and big expressive eyes, Ash is not only affectionate but also quite vocal—he communicates with the cutest grunty, chirpy sounds! He’s calm, loves to play, and adores being by your side for snuggles. Ash has a brother named Coal, and they are incredibly close. He’s scheduled to be neutered on October 9th and would love to find a forever home alongside his brother. Could you be the one to give these sweet brothers the love and home they deserve?

Email completed applications to adopt@tcrescue.com for review, and we will get back to you once approved to set up a time for you to meet the animal you're interested in.

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue organization based out of the Bay Area, CA, dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs (and sometimes more) from shelters where they are in danger. We believe in removing barriers to adoption and educating pet owners and potential adopters about responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay / neuter, positive behavior training and good nutrition.

We are a foster-home-based organization and we do not have a shelter or physical location that adopters can visit. All of our rescued animals are cared for by volunteer foster families in their homes. This allows us to get to know the animals better, and helps us assess what type of home environment they will do best in.
