For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Carver-Scott Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $275, plus tax
Location: Petco Chaska
Friskies is a lively male kitten who can't get enough of playtime! Whether it's batting at toys, chasing balls, or pouncing on feather wands, Friskies is always ready for action. His playful spirit knows no bounds, and he loves discovering new toys to keep the fun going. Full of energy and curiosity, Friskies will turn your living room into his playground. But don't worry-after a long day of playing, he's more than happy to curl up for a well-deserved nap. If you're looking for a kitten who loves to play and will keep you entertained for hours, Friskies is your guy.
If you are interested in Friskies, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott website!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
