Hello world, my name is Fern. I’m a 10-year-old senior girl, and I’ve spent my whole life longing for love and a family to call my own. I was found as a stray, and I was taken in by a shelter, then moved to a foster home. My foster family loved me so much that they ended up adopting me, and I really thought I had found my forever family. Unfortunately, life threw me another curve ball and I’ve been returned to TEAM. I’m a bit confused about this change; I didn’t do anything wrong. I guess circumstances change and people move, and there was no room for me in their new life. So here I am again, looking for a new home. I’m gentle, calm, friendly, loving, and I want to spread joy to those around me. I love cozy naps, leisurely strolls (at least 30 mins twice a day please), and cuddles. I love my food and can be very protective of it, and I appreciate my space, so it’s best if there are no young kids in my home. I don't mind sharing my remaining years with another calm dog, as long as I have my space.
I do have easily manageable non symptomatic Lyme disease that I keep to myself ( I can not transfer it to other animals or humans) . I used to have the old lady related urinary incontinence but that is successfully treated with one daily pill. I am looking for an adopter who will appreciate my gentle spirit, and who can offer me a peaceful and quiet home so I can enjoy my golden years. It has been a rough ride, I guess some dogs end up luckier than others. But I’m trying hard to remain optimistic. If you think you can give me another chance, I’d really love to meet you.
Lots of love,
Fern
