My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: Adult
Breed: Lionhead Mix
Weight: 1.87kg / 4.1lbs

Meet Maple, a charming Lionhead mix rabbit who's ready to hop into your heart! This social and confident bun loves to explore and will quickly make herself at home in any space. Maple is happiest when she's free to roam and loves being around people, especially those who give her head scritches-her favorite! You'll know she's content when she starts tooth purring.

Maple's ideal home setup includes plenty of space to explore and stretch her legs. Bunny-proofing your home is a must to keep her safe as she investigates every nook and cranny. Her diet should consist of fresh hay, quality rabbit pellets, and leafy greens. Don't forget fresh water and the occasional bunny-safe treat!

As a Lionhead mix, Maple's coat will require regular grooming to prevent matting, especially around her signature fluffy mane. Regular brushing will help keep her fur in tip-top shape.

Maple thrives on enrichment and will appreciate toys, tunnels, and other activities to keep her mentally stimulated. She's looking for a forever family who understands her need for space, attention, and love! Could Maple be the perfect addition to your home?

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
