More about this shelter

The Jackson County Humane Society is a no-kill shelter.Besides saving local dogs and cats, dogs and cats are saved throughout the country with our "Saving Death Row Dogs & Cats" programs and transports. Where dogs and cats from high kill shelters from across the nation are transported to JCHS to find loving homes. Dogs and cats will remain and be taken care of (walking, socializing, all vet care, food, water, shelter) until they are adopted. Founded in 1974, the Jackson County Humane Society advocates the humane treatment of animals and find permanent loving homes for the cats and dogs in our care. We are a non-profit organization that relies mostly on the generosity of compassionate people donating money, volunteering their professional services, volunteering their valuable time at the shelter, at adoption fairs, and working at or hosting fundraising events. Being a non-profit your donations are tax deductible. Any kind of help and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
