My name is Murphy!

Murphy is a female cat my father got from FACE. She was definitely his cat, his was the only lap she wanted to be on. My father passed away 2 months ago and we need a home for his cat.

My mother needs to go into assisted living and I cannot keep this cat. Also, Mom and I are not cat people and have no desire to keep cleaning the cat box.

It used to be you could take a cat back to FACE but it doesn't work like that anymore. I don't want to surrender the cat to animal care and control but I don't have many options.

I've asked friends, family, posted it on my Dad's memorial Facebook page and I am getting no takers.

She's probably 7 or 8 years old and appears to be in good health. She's good with dogs, cats and kids. She is a really sweet cat. Her favorite thing is to be a lap cat. She's been spayed and has all of her claws.
