Meet Veeran – A Spirited, Loyal Rottweiler Mix Seeking an Experienced, Adult-Only Home
Introducing Veeran, a one-year-old Rottweiler mix with an independent spirit, playful antics, and a heart full of potential. Veeran is a young dog who’s eager to explore, play, and form strong bonds with those he trusts. Though he may appear shy and timid at first, especially around new people, Veeran has a charming and affectionate side that comes out with patience, consistency, and the right guidance.
Veeran is full of energy and loves to entertain himself—whether it’s chasing his tail, pouncing on squeaky toys, or just zooming around in a burst of excitement. He’s a fun-loving companion who will bring joy and laughter into any active home. However, as with any dog, he requires the right environment to help him succeed, and he’ll need an experienced adopter who understands his unique needs.
Training & Behavior Needs:
Veeran is a smart dog who responds well to positive reinforcement, but he’s still learning to feel comfortable and confident in his environment. Here’s what you need to know about his training and behavioral needs:
Timid with New People: Veeran tends to be shy and wary when meeting new people. He’s a dog that takes his time to warm up, and it may take a few meet-and-greets before he feels comfortable around you. If you are interested in adopting him, please be prepared for a gradual process and be patient as he builds trust. With calm, consistent interactions and positive reinforcement, Veeran will slowly learn to feel safe and secure in your presence.
Resource Guarding: Veeran has shown some resource guarding tendencies, which means he may become possessive of certain objects like toys, food, or even spaces. This is a behavior that can be managed with training, but it requires an experienced adopter who can be vigilant and proactive in addressing this issue. We highly recommend that his new family be prepared to work on resource guarding through structured training, positive reinforcement, and clear boundaries. Our team is happy to provide guidance on how to best manage this behavior.
Toy Destruction: While Veeran is playful and enjoys chewing on toys, it’s important to note that he has a tendency to destroy them quickly. You may need to invest in more durable toys to satisfy his chewing needs. Providing appropriate outlets for his energy and engaging in structured play sessions will help prevent boredom an

We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.
