Before Paws Animal Shelter opened one day, a woman came to the door with a one-pound kitten her son had found in Springfield. This lady had been feeding this little 1-lb kitten cow's milk which should NEVER be given to a kitten. Poor little Tammi had a big belly, fleas, and ear mites. We knew she would be better at the shelter than in that terrible situation, even though we were actually full. Tammi was sent to foster care right away since she was so tiny, and she flourished there. She's back at the shelter now and is finished with quarantine so she's in the Scratching Post room now, one of our free-roaming kitten rooms. She's a very sweet, playful kitten, and she's thoroughly enjoying all her new friends and playmates. She would be a wonderful addition to any family.
