Luna is a 50-pound hound mix with floppy ears, beautiful tri-color markings, and a personality that’s as fun-loving as her tail is wagging! At just a year and a half old, she’s already shown what a fighter she is. Despite recently losing a back leg due to an injury, Luna hasn’t let it slow her down one bit. She still loves to cruise around her foster’s yard, playing and exploring, and she has an infectious enthusiasm for life.
Luna is an active dog, but once she’s had her playtime, she turns into a big cuddle bug. She loves to give kisses and be around her humans, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She currently lives with two cats and doesn’t appear to have any issues with them.
Luna is crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s also making great progress with house training. This sweet girl would be a fantastic addition to a family who enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, and has the time and love to give her the attention she deserves.
If you’re looking for a joyful, resilient, and affectionate companion, Luna might just be the perfect fit for your family. She’s ready to find her forever home—could it be with you?
If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
