The phrase jumping for joy is made for Hazel. You will know when she is happy because you will see her signature bounces and hops and I dare you to try to be in a bad mood when you see it. From the way she gives the quietest little woof to say “hi” to you, to the warm welcome she offers any guests, life is good with Hazel. She is social butterfly at home but never overly interested in pulling to meet any ol’ passerby, which is the best for us introverts with extrovert tendencies.
Hazel is estimated to be just about 2 years old and weighs 66 compact lbs. As for breed, we see some of those classic Staffie features and a sprinkle of boxer bounce. Of course in rescue breed and age are never guarantees, but educated observations. If you do the DNA test after adoption, we’d love for you to share the results!
An ideal home for Hazel could look like a lot of things thanks to her easy-going approach to everything. Whether you’re looking for a family dog, a buddy for your current dog, or simply your new best-friend, Hazel is perfect for the role. The only way we would say she might not be the dog for you is if you won’t/don’t plan on expressing your affection for her. She isn’t starved of it but it is her love language. Snuggles, sweet-talk, or a little play-session, love fills her up! And she wants attention but isn’t pushy or jealous with other dogs or people. In return you will feel undoubtedly loved and adored beyond compare. I have tried hard not to use the word perfect to describe her but, just as good, is to acknowledge how well-balanced she is. Ill say she is a dream.
Watching her play with a toy or another dog is basically the cure for any bad day or moment of sadness. Don’t worry though, she is quite small so her happy hops are perfectly contained but express happiness at what an amazing world she gets to experience. That level of happiness translates to every aspect of her interactions from how she plays with toys to her dog interactions. She may be able to hide it for a second, because she can be shy, but that fades into her signature contagious happiness.

Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport.
Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
