Hi! I'm Kitters! I was rescued at Sacramento SPCA. I'm a big and handsome tuxedo and nothing matters more to me than getting loved on by my humans.
I'm a very confident and friendly cat. When I first arrived at my foster home I walked out of the carrier as soon as the door opened and when my foster mom laid her hand on my head, I immediately started purring. I walked a few laps around the house to check things out, but quickly went back to my foster mom to receive more pets. I'm very adaptable and not a scaredy cat.
I'm a people cat because I always love to be close to you. Whether you’re going to the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, I'll follow you around the house like a dog. I'll look at you with my big round eyes and push my head into your hand until you cave in and pet me. At night, I love to sleep in bed with you. Whether it's on your chest or between your legs, being right next to you makes my heart feel so content.
I bet I’m the best purrer you’ll ever meet. I constantly purr like an engine when I’m being pet, and even when I’m just laying next to you. One of my quirks is that when you stop petting me, I often will politely tap your hand or shoulder with my paw to let you know that I’m not ready for the petting session to end yet! I also love it if you hug me or put your head against my head.
I'm easy-going but there are couple things I'm insistent on. The first thing is my yummy prescription food. It helps me feel my best so it's important my future family continues to feed it to me. And I'm a bit on the chunky side so I'm on a weight loss program but it's no biggie. I eat dry food so all it means is that my meals are measured to make sure I lose weight safely. The second thing is no other cats. I'm not a fan of them and have historically been reactive to them. You've probably heard of cats being dog reactive? Well I can be cat reactive and it's important that I'm not exposed to other cats, even cats that are on the other side of windows and doors because they can upset me.
I'm looking for a home with a family who has cat experience but doesn't have kids or other furry family members so I can soak up every last bit of your love and attention. If you’re feeling lonely, I’ll make the best companion for you. I’d love to go home with you today!
