Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Matilda, a pocket-sized bundle of joy with a heart as big as her appetite! Found near a train station, this little nugget is underweight at 43 lbs, but she’s on her way to a full recovery. At around 3 years old, Matilda will likely fill out to a healthy 40 lbs. Matilda’s sweet spirit shines through in everything she does—whether it’s rolling over for belly rubs or wagging her tail at the promise of treats. She knows basic commands, is housebroken, and is eager to please. Matilda has discovered her love for stuffed toys, she is very gentle with them and loves to carry them around. This little ray of sunshine deserves to be cherished and spoiled in a loving home. Ready to meet Matilda? Complete an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org and give her the forever family she deserves! To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
