My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on October 3, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Sadie, a happy-go-lucky Lab mix with a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet girl comes with a great resume from her previous home-she's potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained, so much of the hard work is already done. Sadie does well with respectful children and gets along with other dogs too. In her downtime, Sadie loves curling up in her crate or making room for herself on the couch to be close to you. Her ideal family is an active one that can include her in all their outdoor adventures. Whether it's hiking, camping, or long walks, Sadie's favorite place is right by your side. Ready to add this outdoor-loving gal to your life? Bring a leash, collar, and take her home today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
