Meet Camo, a 17-week-old puppy with a heart full of love! This adorable tan and white bundle of joy came to us as a stray and has been adjusting wonderfully to shelter life. Despite his challenging start, Camo is a big lovebug who thrives on affection and is always ready to give kisses to anyone who stops by.
With his charming wiggles for snacks and his playful spirit, Camo brings endless joy to everyone he meets. Whether he’s chasing after toys or cuddling up for some quality snuggle time, this little pup is eager to fill your life with happiness and adventure. Camo is ready to find his forever home, where he can share his love and make unforgettable memories!
Camo is up to date on his DAPPV, BORDETELLA, and RABIES vaccines and up to date on his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. He is already neutered and microchipped and cannot wait to make new friends! You can stop by to see this sweet face or give us a call at 740-314-5583 for any additional information. More about this shelter
We are the Jefferson County Humane Society and , except for our humane officers (who are paid very nominally), we are all volunteers! Our members were instrumental in getting a local levy passed to build a new and larger shelter and the doors opened in 2011. We are currently participating in Iams Home for the Holidays Program and the Purina Pets for People grant program. We are actively pursuing other grants and recently have been asked by the county to partner with them in the operation of the new shelter. Since we are a humane society, our main focus is on getting animals spayed and neutered so there are no more homeless pets. To that end, we bring in a mobile animal surgical clinic who performs spays and neuters at a reduced rate. We are always looking for volunteers to help us in our efforts and, of course, for financial contributions (we are a non-profit, 501 (c)3) and pet adopters! Other items such as food, treats, pet carriers, cages, leashes, collars, food bowls, etc. are also ALWAYS welcomed and appreciated. Please contact us if you have an item to be donated or would like to volunteer with us to try to save some of these homeless, but very loveable, dogs!
