For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Please note that Ted is still currently with one of our shelter partners in Hawaii. In order for us to help him, we need a committed foster or adopter for him in Orange County ONLY.
Ted is a 4.5 year old, 61lbs golden retriever. This is his second time at the shelter in Hawaii, and this boy just can't seem to catch a break.
We will be honest, Ted is a handful! He's VERY high energy and has had NO training (obedience/potty training). In his previous home, he jumped their 4 foot fence daily, so his furever home will need a secure yard with 6 foot fencing minimum.
He seems playful with other dogs, but will likely need a dog that can match his energy and not get overwhelmed by him.
He's basically a puppy in a 4 year old dog's body. If you are up for the challenge of helping him learn to be his best self, please fill out an adoption application ASAP.

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.
We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
