My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I'll start with the stats. I'm Rez. I'm between one and two but no one knows my exact birthday (we can celebrate my gotcha day instead). I WAS dumped and I maybe know why, but we'll get to that, stay with me. I hung out in LG with a Guinea, a cat and a miniature human; they kept me company. I am hanging out with Dr. Hammer now, getting tutored (because they say I'll be much smarter after my nap). I'm up to date on all vacs and bags are packed. I just need a place to go. I like to be close to my people, after I get to know you. I kind of have trust issues after the last fam. They weren't awesome. Foster mom and I snuggle all the time. She thought that she would have to "house train" me. I don't even know what that means. I have perfect indoor manners but prefer outside. Well, except at night; the "dog couch" is pretty inviting. I have 4 other dogs that I hang with here, and a cat. I've been in with the chickens a few times. No issues but no one is giving me "chicken privileges" yet. I walk with my peeps every morning and follow everyone back to the house. There are cows out there that again, don't interest me. I prefer laying in the front yard to going back in the fence. And here's the rest of the story. I don't like being fenced in, I'm a free spirit. I haven't met a fence that can keep me in (well except for the one with a top that makes me whine because it makes me lonely). I would do best in a fence-less home, like a farm or something. I stay close; did it in Locust, do it at my foster home. One more thing, since I have your attention so far, I LOVE water. Foster mom's garden hose is my best playmate. Well, that's the Rez story. Got questions? Ask away. I'll be sitting here waiting for the apps to pour in.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are all in foster homes. One of our volunteers is always available to introduce prospective families to our pets, by appointment.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers that realized the need for a rescue in our area for animals that are considered "last chance." We work with neglected, abused, starved, dumped, abandoned, injured animals. We have rehabed and adopted 2 Great Danes that were days from death because of starvation, a dog that was attacked by Coyotes, 2 gun shot victims, a dog that was purposely set on fire (we couldn't save her but we provided the vetting services for the family). We have rescued at least 50 dogs that have been dumped and abandoned including several mothers and litters that we work to get into rescues out of state.
