Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** PLEASE READ: Moose is NOT at the shelter, but we can arrange a meet and greet with him. Please contact us if interested, or fill out an adoption application.
Moose, one of our alums, has been in a loving home for over a year. He's received top-notch training and has been treated as a cherished member of a family. But now, due to no fault of his own, Moose's life sadly has to be upended. His family cares for him so much, but unfortunately his mom's allergies and asthma have become unmanageable despite medicine, injections and even ripping out all the carpet in their home. They are utterly heartbroken, and we feel so badly for the difficult choice they must make. Instead of bringing Moose back to the shelter, we'd love to facilitate a home-to-home adoption, even if a meet and greet takes place here (his family lives north of Corning).
Moose is a 2-year-old chocolate lab mix. He's a big, beefy boy with an even bigger personality and smile to match. When we knew him, he was a clumsy, energetic puppy, but his family now says, "He is so much calmer and not so hyper and such a loving dog." They say Moose is good with other dogs and cats (he was good with kids here, just be mindful of his size with tiny ones). As stated, Moose's family has already done the hard part with intensive training, so he's now a well-behaved boy. Moose is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
*** PLEASE READ: Moose is NOT at the shelter, but we can arrange a meet and greet with him. There will be a rehoming fee.
