My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once upon a time (or more precisely, on September 14th), Ms. Pretty found herself in the most unexpected of places—tangled up in a skirmish and hiding in a hydrangea bush! This grey tabby beauty (or rather, PRETTY), with her snowy white belly, delicate white paws, and adorably pink nose, wasn’t just any lost kitty. After her rescuers offered her some tasty treats and a much-needed safe haven, Ms. Pretty’s story started to unfold.

The vet estimates she’s between 5-8 years old and spayed. Although we discovered a microchip with her name, no one came forward to claim this delightful lady. Ms. Pretty quickly showed us her incredibly sweet side, basking in every pet and head scratch, all the while doing her signature happy dance—a gentle stomping of her back toes.

This girl needs a lot of love, and she’s waiting for her purr-fect forever home. She’s taken to indoor life like she’s always belonged, lounging in laps and gazing out windows. She’ll even go outside and follow us (without a leash!) to get some fresh air, but she always comes right back in with us.

Ms. Pretty is ready for a second chance with a family who’ll cherish her quirks and gentle spirit. She’s sure to make a wonderful companion—whether she’s chasing sunbeams, making biscuits, or curling up for a cozy lap catnap.

Once you submit an application, one of our dedicated adoption volunteer coordinators will contact you.

2.
Meet the Pet

Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.

3.
Approve Application

The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!
