My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Totoro of the Forest was found stuck in a tree for 2 days; an arborist was paid to rescue him from the treetops where he was immediately brought to a hospital for a wound and taken into rescue.
He had a microchip, but apparently his original owners had abandoned him and didn't want him anymore.
Even scared and with a wound, he lifted his butt so high up for butt scratches for the surgeon he almost fell off the exam table! Now he's feeling so much better after surgery and recovery. He's eager to be an indoor-only kitty and never need to climb trees again.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
