Hi my name is Gene! I`m a little on the shy side, especially at first. Once I`m comfortable, I love to play and to snuggle. I get around great even though I am missing a hind foot (it was missing when I was found). I get along with other cats especially my buddy, May who is also up for adoption, who I enjoy cuddling, kissing, and grooming to show my love. I can’t wait to find my forever home!

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
