My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Terry will eat anything—he absolutely loves food! While he enjoys being pet, he’s not really into cuddling, though if I’m lucky, he’ll occasionally come for a cuddle around my arm. Terry is an absolute sweetheart with a heart full of love. This gentle boy has never shown aggression and is calm and affectionate. He loves nothing more than spending time with people, preferring company over being alone.

One of Terry’s favorite things is to be pet—he’ll shove his face into your hands. When you call him, he’ll come to you with his cute little meow, eager to chat and be close. He's quite the talker, so you’ll have a conversation partner around!

Terry’s love for food is as big as his heart, and his kind personality will warm any home. Much like a dog, he follows you around and enjoys being part of the family. If you’re looking for an affectionate, food-loving, and playful companion, Terry is the one for you.

Bring Terry into your life, and you'll gain a loving friend for life!

This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
