NAILING potty training?!.... Check!!!
Gaiter is a dream puppy. At seven months old, this smart boy has already nailed house training. He even does a full body wiggle happy dance after going potty outside, because he knows a treat and lots of "good boys" will follow. On walks, his foster reports he is a perfect angel -- always walking beside you and never pulling. Even better? This guy rarely barks. His quiet demeanor makes him perfect for city dwellers who want a cuddle companion without disturbing the neighbors, or for active families hoping for a gentle playmate who understands personal boundaries. Like we said, a dream puppy!
Gaiter is super affectionate, always doting on his people with hugs and kisses. He has this special magic trick where he brushes up on your legs, and, without fail, humans will begin petting him. Complete strangers have been known to get on all fours just to give this guy scratches. Like we said -- magic! But that's just the power of Gaiter's cute and friendly demeanor.
Gaiter matches the energy you're willing to put out, and he loves finishing up his day with couch cuddles and time with his favorite chew toy. He has been tested around other dogs and kids and has done excellent.

ALIVE Rescue is a sustainable animal rescue group committed to protecting the lives and rights of animals. We believe that every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life. We take on the responsibility to save, rehabilitate and place abandoned, abused and stray animals. Our rescue permanently houses and cares for the animals that cannot be placed into forever homes for the duration of their natural lives. We provide medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health, and/or breed. At ALIVE Rescue, we promote sustainable living and care-giving by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment within our communities. We constantly work to educate the public on current animal issues, including the benefits of spaying/neutering pets.
Since our formation in 2008, ALIVE Rescue has rescued more than 1,600 animals in the Chicago area.
