My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stuart, a confident and outgoing 7-month-old Terrier mix who weighs around 23 pounds, though he’s convinced he’s at least 60! Stuart is full of personality and charm, always eager to make friends with everyone—whether it’s people, dogs, cats, or even squirrels (catching one is his life goal). His foster mom describes him as the sweetest little guy with a big personality and a bark to match, always ready to climb into laps or be held.

Stuart enjoys a balanced mix of activity, from playing with toys and other dogs to brief walks and running around the house. He’s great with kids and adults alike, seeing no difference between the two, and he gets along with dogs of all sizes, although he can be a bit grumbly around bigger dogs because he thinks he’s one of them. He’s crate trained but would rather sleep close to people or another dog, and he’s fully house-trained.

This little guy thrives in any environment but would love to have another dog around for company. He adores human companionship, following his people around the house and hopping up into laps whenever he gets the chance. Stuart’s lovable personality and friendly, adaptable nature make him a perfect companion for just about anyone. With his sweet face and joyful spirit, it’s hard not to smile when you’re around Stuart. Whoever adopts him will be lucky to have such a wonderful, affectionate friend. His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
