My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Astro was found then redumped in another city by a finder. He is an intense malinois who has strong play drive. He is a normal Mali with the mouthiness and needing constant training. He is affectionate and loving and dog friendly. I have seen zero aggression in play and no resource guarding at all. He is kenneled at this time and does come out of the kennel hot and frustrated I do believe in a home he would be less frustrated and better mannered. He is going through training at the time and is learning so much. He was around 8 month when he came to us and our best guess is he is around 11-12 months at this point. He is good with older kids but younger kids energy stresses him if they scream/yell etc. He will need a patient experienced owner. He will perform well with frisbee or agility competition or be great at scent work as he needs a job to do. He is currently not fixed but will be fixed prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

The mission of Tracy DogGirls Rescue (TDGR) is to secure lost dogs in the streets of Tracy. Dogs that go on an adventure and get lost need a chance to be reunited with their owners and TDGR is committed to providing them a safe, secure landing spot while we search for the owners. If owners cannot be located, TDGR offers them a foster home until a permanent loving home is found or intake into our local animal shelter. TDGR is also committed to work closely with Tracy’s local shelter, other rescues and the Tracy community to secure the stray dogs and reunite with owners. With the increasing amount of dogs being dumped, we believe it is critical for Tracy community to spay/neuter their animals to end the animal pandemic.
