Bentley!

Bentley is an approximately 6 year old mixed breed weighing about 75lbs. We got him about 1.5 years ago. He is a good dog, and we were told he was a stray as a puppy and had been in and out of the shelter a few times before we got him. However, the shelter failed to tell us he had socialization issues. He is quite dog-aggressive and right now is unable to be around other dogs without going into fight mode. We started working with a trainer about 6 months ago. He has shown some improvement in some areas, but still shows aggression toward other dogs. Unfortunately, I can no longer devote the time and energy into his continued training. We don't think he is beyond hope, just beyond our abilities. He is great with kids and does well around other people. He has a good handle on basic obedience and is fully house trained. He just needs someone better suited to help him navigate his troubled past.
