Kojak is a big ol' bundle of fun! This mostly-Lab mix is only about a year old and he's a big puppy in a large dog's body. He was abandoned on someone's property and we simply can't understand how anyone would want to give up this lovable lug. Kojak is super-duper friendly and greets everyone he sees as if they're his long-lost best friend! Kojak may be big and strong, but he's so innocent, puppyish, and sweet. He walks well on a leash with proper direction, and Kojak has had training. He sits, stays, gives a big pawshake, and lays down when asked. He's gentle taking what you give him and he's a gentleman with his toys and such too. Kojak will even stand and spin for a treat! He's a people-pleaser and friend to all, and he even enjoys meeting other dogs too. Kojak is an all around perfect family dog that would love to join the best family ever! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org to meet him. File#73650 6/24/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
