Obie is a very handsome and healthy 6 year old Spitz who is ready for action, This 19 pound bundle of energy loves to run and play. His tail never stops wagging and he is a very happy little boy that is always looking for your approval. He is "all about you," and he loves to cuddle on the couch during TV time. Don't worry about doggie steps, just pat your leg or the couch cushion a couple of times and he'll be right there by your side. That goes for bed-time too. He will also be ok sleeping in a little bed of his own next to your's. During foster care, (while waiting for his special person), Obie has been sleeping in a crate and he sleeps quietly through the night.
Obie received an intake wellness exam to identify any health issues that need to be addressed. He also received a 3-year rabies and distemper vaccination, dewormed, and full blood panel analysis, (which included heartworm and tick-borne disease testing).
Obie gets along with everyone - cats, dogs, kids and who knows what else. He is perfect for any family or person that is home most of the time, loves cuddling or going on brisk walks, and would love to experience a pet that will always cheer you up and put a smile on your face. Obie is the one!!
Paws For Seniors Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in adopting a Paws For Seniors pet. Potential adopters must follow our adoption process, which includes an adoption application, an interview, reference check, and a home visit. Pre-qualification Applications may be submitted in advance will be kept on file.
Some things to consider before completing the Adoption Application.
- Have a family meeting to discuss how adding a pet will impact your lifestyle, how you may need to change routine, if a dog or cat is better suited and ensure that everyone in the household is ready.

THE PROCESS
- Submit an application. We make every effort to respond to all applications received within 3 days.
- Adoption Applications https://is.gd/pawsforseniorsapp may be submitted for pre-approval and will be kept on file.
- Initial interviews by phone or email will be made within one week after receipt of your application.
- Home check may be performed via virtual means or in person.
- Medical records and Adoption Contract reviewed and signed
- Non Refundable Adoption Fees: Dogs: $250.00 Cats $150.00 we encourage additional donations to help us care for future pets.
