My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 months

Meet Pekoe, Licorice and Avocado Leaf! These three little babies came to our shelter after their owner could no longer care for them. Their foster mom tells us they are playful and snuggly kittens, who have done well on a visit with a school age child. They would love a home with plenty of playtime and enrichment to keep these sneaky little babies out of trouble. Regular, scheduled playtime, food enrichment and toy rotation can all help keep them busy and out of mischief. Don't forget other furry friends! These little ones would love to go home with a sibling (a built in playmate) or might do well with a friendly cat (or potentially appropriate dog) who can help entertain. Complete your family and add one (or more) of these affectionate, friendly, and playful little kittens to your home! They promise to enrich your life for many years to come!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
