My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Go Rikki! Go Rikki! This spunky, adorable little girl is absolutely lovely. She does the cutest little spins when excited, and gives you a funny, toothy grin! Rikki gets along great with all the other doggies, so if you have another dog, feel free to bring them with you for a meet and greet to see if they are a good fit. Rikki a beautiful little lapdog and she will make any home feel so complete!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
