Walker is a very sweet, quiet boy. He is wonderful with dogs, big and small. Walker loves to be outside, but he is a very good boy inside as well.
Walker barks sometimes when he is playing with another dog in his foster home. Walker loves playing with dogs. He is gentle enough to play with a smaller dog. The smaller dog in his foster home keeps initiating the play with him. He finds lots of ways to amuse himself outside. He chews trimmed palm leaves and banana tree leaves, shells, large rocks, and pieces of wood. Inside the home, he plays with Nylabones and plush toys. He generally leaves the older dog alone since she does not want to play with him.
Walker is also good with kids. He currently is being foster in a home with four kids.
When we first pulled him from animal control, he was not neutered. He never had an accident or even lifted his leg inside. He is now neutered, updated on vaccines, housebroken, and heart-worm negative. He has even scratched on the outside door to let us know he wants inside.
Walker howled when put in a crate, but he stopped as soon as one of the other dogs howled back. He sleeps nicely in a dog bed either in a crate or out of a crate.
Walker is very gentle when he comes over for attention. He walks up and stands next to you looking at you with those big puppy eyes. Besides being such a sweetheart, he also has a beautiful coat with light ticking across his body.
Even though he is taller than your average beagle, you will love him just the same. No one could not love Walker once they got to know him. Won't you give him a home?
