Meet Axel, a 7-year-old male shepherd mix with a heart of gold! While he may seem a bit nervous at the shelter, he's friendly with people and loves giving kisses. Although he can sometimes be reactive to other dogs at the shelter, his previous owner noted that he generally does well with new canine companions when given proper introductions. Axel would thrive in a calm environment where he can gradually build his confidence. He needs some help with potty and crate training, but his adoption includes a four week scholarship to an online training program called Good Pup so he can keep learning! Overall, his affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion! Are you ready for a bright spark in your life?
Medical history: Besides some mild to moderate tartar and gingivitis, he is a healthy boy. He should still meet his new vet as soon as possible to ensure his lasting health!
