My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pixel! You guessed it: this cutie gets her name from her adorable fur patterning. Pixel is super social and outgoing, and is looking for a human or family to give her endless love and attention.

Pixel loves to be pet, picked up, and played with. She is a "super lap cat- as described by her foster mom- so be ready for endless cuddles and purrs. Although she is super energetic and will happily play with her toys or sit on your lap all day, Pixel also understands the importance of a little downtime. If no one is home, she will gladly relax and sleep all day. When it is play time, Pixel loves her wire toys and feathers!

Pixel is the perfect cat for any home. She has endless love to offer, so be ready for a new companion! Pixel is also always on her best behavior, never scratching or biting. This adorable, affectionate, and playful girl is in need of her forever home, so hurry up and do not hesitate today!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
