Trixie came to us from the same case as Wilma, and we believe they may be sisters. However, Trixie is even more fearful in the shelter environment. She arrived with some wounds on her legs, but they’re healing well. Like her sister, she’s in need of a patient, understanding home to help her feel safe and loved. At 2 years old and around 30lbs, we believe Trixie will make a wonderful companion for someone willing to give her the time and care she needs to come out of her shell. Right now, dogs like Trixie are having a very hard time finding homes. We depend on people like you to take a chance on them and see just how loving and grateful they can be. If you think your family could be that safe space for her, visit during business hours to meet this sweet girl.RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.
We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.
