Meet Dude, your next beachy best friend! This 3-year-old Heeler mix is all about good vibes, fetch sessions, and snackin’ on treats. Dude lives for a game of catch—he’s always stoked to chase a ball and bring it back for another round. And when it comes to treats? Total stoke fest!
Now, Dude might be a little chill and cautious when he first meets you, but give him a minute to catch your vibe, and he`ll be your loyal, easygoing buddy for life. Once he warms up, it`s all tail wags, sunshine, and adventure from there.

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
