My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Yes

Pardner is a happy, go-lucky boy ready to be your next adventure buddy! He is a medium-energy pup who's down to join you wherever life takes him but also enjoys a nap here or there. His favorite things so far include peanut butter in a kong toy and licky mats. He will do great in a patient, active home that's excited for all things puppy!

Pardner has not met a stranger he doesn't like. He gets along well with other pups and takes cues well in play. He would likely do great with or without a canine sibling. Because he's not been exposed to cats, his friendly disposition would likely be ok with dog-savvy ones. Pardner has interacted well with dog-savvy kids so he'd likely be fine with one in the home.

He is a smart boy who's eager to please and food-motivated for training. Pardner is mostly crate-trained and house-trained. He is crated occasionally throughout the day and overnight. While he'd rather be in a home where his humans are home more often than not, he'd make a great doggy daycare candidate. With time and structure, he's learning to eat his meals and use the crate as his safe space. Pardner has improved his potty-training and will thrive when taken out on a regular schedule and routine. He is learning his leash manners and will continue to improve with extra guidance as he navigates his new environment.

Pardner is a typical, fun-loving lab pup and will have you falling in love with him in no time- are you ready to call him a part of your family?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
