Hey there! I’m Calvin! I`m a playful little guy with a heart full of love!

I was found as a stray, but now I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m full of energy and curiosity, always ready for an adventure.
My beautiful chocolate and white coat adds to my charm, and I can’t wait to show you my playful side!

I’m super sweet and love to make new friends. Whether it’s playing with toys or chasing after my favorite ball, I’m always up for some fun! I’m also learning some basic commands, like “sit,” and I’m eager to impress you with my smarts!

I’m a social pup who enjoys the company of people and other dogs. While I love kids, I should be supervised around very young ones to ensure we all have a great time together. I promise to be gentle and loving, but I’m still a little guy who’s learning the ropes!

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
