Navy came with his housemate Sprout to CVHS when his family had major life challenges.
Navy is very friendly, will jump to greet you, and hopes you will let him give you many kisses. He loves car rides, attention from humans, and to run! He previously lived with a child under 6 years old, and has recently spent a day with a 3 year old. He`s initially jumpy, but calms quickly, and is happy to sit quietly by their side. He did great living with canine pal Sprout, and has met a few dogs here that he did really well with, adjusting his play to suit them. Navy cannot live with cats, as he will chase them, and not playfully.
When his people were not around, he was confined to the kitchen and did well for a few hours at a time. He is not crate trained. Navy walks nicely on leash with a harness; he will pull with only a collar. He`s a very curious boy, and likes to know what you`re up to around the house, but will also settle in for a nap if you aren`t exciting enough.
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Navy`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Navy.
