My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was a stray living in Wharton County and had a litter of 6 puppies. We were all living on the street, scrounging for food and living in a culvert and barn. SPOT was alerted to our situation but no one volunteered to help and then we disappeared. Several weeks later, SPOT Board member Melanie Cochrum spotted us and went to work rescuing us! Wharton ACO Jurasek was able to help catchpole the momma dog Cat; Melanie found the last puppy hiding in the neighbor's barn and was able to capture him.

More about this rescue

We are the Wharton County Stray Pet Outreach Team (SPOT). We are a foster-based program. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, heartworm test and medically treat all the animals we offer for adoption.
We are not animal control and we do not have a facility. SPOT dogs and cats live in foster homes in Texas that provide a healthy and loving environment which prepares them to become life-long companions for their adoptive homes.
