PINTO made it to Florida!!
We were asked to help him find a furever home. That should be NO issue as he is super cute!! Here is his info: Pinto is around 8 months old. Small Heeler mix and maybe some dachshund, he is a sniffer!, He is house broke, kennel trained, and likes other animals big or small. He just wants all the love, his family could no longer have him so he has been staying in a home in Texas who can no longer keep him. Other heeler rescues in Texas are full. He was said to be scared of Men, however he loves the guy who transported him and now is fostering him, He just needs someone with a little bit of patience, lots of love, some dog savvyness and give him a chance! He loves to have his chest scratched and rubbed and will fall asleep in your arms doing so. Sometimes this little dude will get the zoomies, and gives face licks with love nibbles, which are hard to not love. He just wants to play and love! He does good with horse and goats too! He is around 25 pounds and will not get any bigger. He needs to be neutered.

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application.When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
