My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby 5 aka Ruby Walker
**AT HUNTERS KITTEN LOUNGE**
F, 1.5 years

If you’re looking for the best snuggler in town with a colorful personality, Ruby might be your girl. She is a teenager with attitude galore, but that is just what makes Ruby, Ruby and she’s hard not to love just the way she is. She thinks she runs the place and once settles in, loves to be part of your day…
Want a companion for watching your movies or video games with? Check! Someone to listen to your day and in return, tell you about hers? Check! Keep you laughing with silly antics of zooming in and out of tunnels/boxes or trying to catch critters on cat tv? Check!
Ruby loves a good bed, blanket, or cat tree for her lounging. She is a total lap cat and can snuggle for hours. Window watching and sunbathing are absolute favorites along with feather wand toys she loves to try and catch.

Ruby does well with other cats and dogs that leave her be. She did become playmates with a young adult cat, but it took about 5 months to happen. For kids, those who are older and respectful are preferred if applicable.

Ruby does have a sad past where she found herself on the euthanasia list around the holidays. She had an injury of unknown cause that led to a femur fracture, spinal injury, and tail avulsion. Her femur healed on its own, but her tail needed amputation. Her spinal injury makes it difficult for her to use the bathroom on her own so she needs expressed 2x daily and occasionally leaves little bunny droppings behind. For not being here as her alternative, we will take helping her go to the bathroom everyday. Ruby is worth it and you can tell so thankful to still be here

Ruby is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adding this one of a kind girl to your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website

You can also book a visit to meet her at Hunter's Kitten Lounge! Let us know ahead of time if you plan to see her so we can make sure she is available https://hunterskittenlounge.org/appt-booking
